Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Bitty Course for using the service, as a creator or as a student.
Version November 04, 2026
Draft: this document hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer yet and will change before Bitty Course launches.
These terms apply to everyone who uses Bitty Course: creators who host courses, their team members, and students who buy or watch courses. Creators also agree to the Creator Agreement. How we handle personal data is in the Privacy Policy.
"Bitty Course", "we" and "us" mean Bitty Course, based in Missouri, USA. "You" means the person using the service, or the organization they act for. You accept these terms when you sign in on a course site, or when you tick the box as you create a workspace.
Bitty Course is offered only in the United States. It's for creators and students located in the US, and courses are priced in US dollars. We may block purchases and sign-ups from elsewhere.
Your account
- You need an email address you can receive mail at. You sign in with a code sent to it, a password if you set one, or a Google account with the same address. Anyone who can read that inbox can sign in, so keep it secure.
- Creators must be at least 18, or the age of majority where they live if that is higher.
- Students must be at least 16. A parent or guardian may buy a course for a child aged 13 or over, and in that case accepts these terms for the child and is responsible for the child's use. Nobody under 13 may use Bitty Course. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we'll delete it and its data and refund any purchase made through it, as far as we are able.
- One account works on every course site that uses Bitty Course. You're responsible for what happens under it. Tell us at support@bittycourse.com if you think someone else has used it.
Who sells a course
Courses are sold by the creator named on the course page, not by Bitty Course. We provide the software the creator sells through. We aren't a party to your purchase, and we don't set prices, refund policies or what a course contains.
The payment goes to the creator's own Stripe account. The creator's sale terms and refund policy apply, and the creator answers questions about the course, refunds and purchases; their contact details are on their course site. Nothing here reduces rights you have under your state's consumer law.
Your access to a course depends on what the creator offered when you bought it and on their workspace staying active. If a creator cancels, students keep access for 30 days, after which the course site goes offline unless the creator returns. We can't promise that any course stays available for ever. Bitty Course isn't a school and doesn't promise any result from a course.
Acceptable use
Don't use Bitty Course to upload, sell, post or send:
- anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material, or content that promotes terrorism;
- intimate images of someone without their consent, including realistic AI-generated ones;
- content you don't have the rights to;
- harassment, threats, hate or spam;
- misleading offers: invented discounts or deadlines, fake reviews or testimonials, guaranteed income or get-rich claims;
- anything Stripe prohibits under its restricted businesses list.
Don't share your access with others, or download, record or redistribute a course beyond what its creator allows. Don't try to get around access checks, rate limits or security controls, reach another workspace's data, scrape the service, send malware, or interfere with anyone's use of it.
You may not use Bitty Course if you are on a government restricted-party list or in a place subject to comprehensive sanctions, or to get around those rules.
How we enforce these rules
We don't review everything on the service, and we aren't obliged to, but we may act on what we find or what is reported to us. We can remove or disable content, restrict comments, pause a course site or its payments, suspend an account or close it. People make these decisions; we don't use automated tools to moderate content.
When we act, we'll tell the person affected what we did and why, unless the law prevents it or there is an urgent safety or security reason. You can ask us to look again by replying to that message or writing to support@bittycourse.com.
- Terrorism content: we remove it when we become aware of it, and may report it to the authorities.
- Child sexual abuse material: we remove it, close the account and report it as the law requires.
- Other illegal content: we remove or restrict it when we become aware of it, and may keep what the law requires us to keep.
Reporting content
Write to support@bittycourse.com with the exact address of the content, why you believe it is illegal or breaks these terms, your name and email, and a statement that you believe the report is accurate and complete. We'll confirm we received it and tell you what we decided.
Intimate images: if someone has published an intimate image of you without your consent, write to support@bittycourse.com with the subject "Intimate image". Include your name and a signature, where to find the image, and why you believe it was published without your consent. We remove valid requests and known copies within 48 hours.
Copyright
We respond to copyright notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Send notices to our copyright agent at support@bittycourse.com, with the subject "Copyright".
A notice must include your physical or electronic signature; the work you say was infringed; the material and where it is, so that we can find it; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you're authorized to act for the owner.
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the agent with your signature; what was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and phone number, with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the US, any district where we can be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We'll forward it, and restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have gone to court.
Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make you liable for damages. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe, in appropriate circumstances.
Your content
Creators keep ownership of their courses, videos and other content, and students keep ownership of their comments, reviews and messages. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, copy, process (for example to transcode video, or to generate captions when a creator asks) and show your content, only as needed to run the service. We may pass that permission to the providers who help us run it, and to nobody else.
That permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies in backups, which expire on their normal schedule, and comments and reviews, which stay visible on the course they were posted on until they are removed. We don't train AI models on your content.
The service
We work to keep Bitty Course available and secure, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Playback is checked against each student's access and uses short-lived links, but no video host can stop screen recording, and we don't claim to.
We may change or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll tell creators at least 30 days ahead.
Parental control tools that may help limit access to harmful material are commercially available; a search engine or your device maker can point you to providers.
Ending
You can stop using Bitty Course at any time, and you can delete your account from your profile. Creators cancel from Settings (see the Creator Agreement).
We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, for fraud, if the law requires it, or to prevent harm to others or the service. Unless the matter is urgent, we'll give notice first. We may otherwise end the service for you only on at least 30 days' notice.
Liability
This section limits what you can recover from us, including for our own negligence.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any other liability that can't be limited by law.
If you use Bitty Course for your business: the service is provided "as is", without warranties other than those stated in these terms. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, even if caused by negligence, and our total liability for all claims, including claims for negligence, is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.
If you are a consumer: to the extent your state's law allows, the same exclusions and limit apply to you. As a student you usually pay the creator rather than us, so this limit doesn't cover the price of a course: that claim is with the creator. Your state's mandatory consumer protections still apply.
Changes to these terms
We'll publish changes here with a new version date. For material changes we'll email you and show a notice in the product at least 30 days before they apply, explaining what changed, unless the law or an urgent security issue requires less notice. If you don't agree, you can close your account before then. Changes apply going forward only; a dispute that already exists stays under the version in force when it arose.
Law and disputes
Write to us first at support@bittycourse.com: most problems can be sorted out that way.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA.
If you use Bitty Course for your business, disputes go to the state or federal courts in Missouri.
If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of your state's law, and you can bring a claim in your local courts, including small claims court.
There is no mandatory arbitration and no class action waiver in these terms.
